StatenCX 3.0 was as big as a success as I could ever hope for it to be.  For me, it was the epitome of everything i love about cyclocross.  We had the perfect mix of racers, spectators, weather, sponsors, and fun.   The course was fun to ride and fun to watch.  I couldn’t have asked for a better event.
A HUGE thank you needs to go out to the following people/companies that made this race possible.

Volunteers/officials:
A HUGE Thank you to The Kingpin racing team crew as well as my friends and teammates who helped with set up, reg, and tear down.  This race would have been a disaster without them.
Myles Romanow was a huge help as well, and you should all check out his race, thesupercross cup, this weekend.  It’s in Nassau county now, so it’s a quick 30 minute drive to a great 2-day CX event (it’s closer than Staten Island).
I’d also like to mention that Alan Atwood is awesome.  So are the officials he brought along.  They went above and beyond with supporting this race.  We’re extremely lucky to have him in our cycling scene.

Sponsors: Our sponsors were totally rad this year.  Be sure to check out all of them, because they love cross and have alot to offer:   NYC Velo, Kona, Claudette Lajam (Orthochick), Sportique, Honest Tea, Wafels & Dinges, Belgium Bike, Spasport, Champ Sys, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, David Jordan Coaching, 9W Magazine, Clean Bottle, CRCA, Welshire Farms (bacon!), Revolution Wheelworks, and Burgess Digital Graphics.  Please support them if you happen to be in the market for the services/products they offer!

Racers: This race is all about you guys.  It’s not my race,  it’s ours.  Thanks for coming out and being a part of it.  The race has come to epitomize what’s great about our CX scene. We aren’t MAC and we aren’t New England.  We’re something else.  I can’t wait for next year already.
Let’s get down to business-  here’s everything you want post-race.
MEDIA (so far,  I’m sure there’s more to come):
If you couldn’t find a photo of yourself in these albums, you must be a ghost.  Enjoy the new Facebook profile photos!
Speaking of which,  be sure to follow Staten CX on Facebook and Twitter-  I’ll be posting more links to media as they are made available:
Thanks again everyone!!!!  See you at Whitmores Super cross this weekend.
